It’s never been a more exciting time to work out. And, it’s never been easier thanks to the popularity of activewear and the disruption taking place in the fitness and training industry.

Gone are the days of of gym memberships laden with tricky T&Cs; egalitarian exercise is the new black thanks to smartphone apps and ventures like Fairfax’s BodyPass and AirActive, which will launch this week.

The virtual marketplace will offer last-minute sports in casual fitness classes in venues from April 6.

The no-strings ethos is what drew Bachelor winner and aspiring fitness guru Tim Robards to AirActive.

“It’s a great way for people to try multidisciplinary training, like yoga one day and some CrossFit the next,” the chiropractor and personal trainer said.
